      Regret and Health

      Maintaining a Positive Mindframe

Regret is an emotion or thought form that can cripple a person's present or future. When navigating health issues, whether mental, emotional, physical or spiritual, it is only natural to wish it all had gone differently. It's important to remember that controlling our thoughts & emotions is a muscle we can build over time. The more you focus on what you are grateful for, the more serotonin & dopamine you will generate. These are essential to the immune system & both play a role in reducing inflammation.

When you find yourself dwelling on negative things from the past, or getting into regret, come back to today. Think of 3 things in present tense that you're grateful for. Get into the details of them. Why are you grateful for them? What do you like most about them? How do they make you feel?

Retraining the mind can actually be assisted with acupuncture! Acupuncture can also generate serotonin and dopamine, as well as reduce inflammation. It's an amazing modality to get one out of the past and right back into the present moment. Healing is a long journey and we all need someone to remind us to take stock of what is good in our lives.

      Keep going! You're doing great!
